Charly’s first Flights…

I am extremely behind the diaries again but this does not mean that I don’t keep updates in my notices. It’s only that I have so much work to do that I feel not able to post on time. But here comes the next entry…

From the

Diary as of  7/12/2010

Charly started to do his first flights to other balconies and buildings!

Because Pina requested so much more care I did not have the time I wished to observe Charly’s development. He is such a gorgeous little guy and soooo  clever. And he is far more grown up than any other youngster I have seen. Incredible.

Here are some pics from Charly’s first real encounter with Winnie:

Here is Charly 25 days old and already so very much grown up already!

And this is the grand day when Charly flew away to the opposite building… but it started with looking and looking…

…and then a little preening cannot be the worst…

and some more so that not everyone can see his stage-fright…

and here with Daddy… oh my is this high!!!!!!

and finally he made the jump…

How tiny he looks now…. and sooooo lonely….

  1. What a cutie! And it must be a bit scary the first time the youngsters take off on their first long-distance flight!

  2. Yes, he is Revati. And he is a very unusual pigeon. Very grown up at very young age. Maybe because he was a single child of Pete and Emma.
I am always getting nearly a heart attack when I see them doing the first plunge into the depth. From our balcony it is at least 40 m high!
