I have no idea how long that family peace will last. Joey started to pick at her Mom 8O 8O 8O – I think I was right from the beginnig – that Joey is the girl although I thought otherwise in between. Very difficult to judge because Joey has become so big. But I have evidence in the meanwhile that Willy is the boy and Joey the girl – I won’t tell you yet why I know but I am sure now it is as it is.

Well – a few more family pics:

Emma in all her beauty:

The whole family:

Joey starts to collect sticks – isn’t that a bit early? or is it just for practising like a little girl that plays with her dolls…

Oh my goodness me – an imposter appeared on the balcony today – a huge black pigeon! Is this the bogey man? Apparently not because Pete and kiddos seem to know this guy… but nevertheless I call him the bogeyman – he is huge 8O

The kiddos are looking like adults now but their behaviour is still that of baby pigeons. Both can fly perfectly now – showboating from time to time as if to prove their new abilities – especially Joey seems to be the racing pilot of the family. You would not believe what kind of manoeuvres he accomplishes – he does in the air what a rabbit does being chased by a fox – darting sideways in the air. It looks awesome.

Today it was nice warm weather and the whole pigeon family used the water bowl as swimming pool. It was the total chaos. Imagine 4 pigeons together in a bowl that measures no more than a foot!! I have shot so many pictures and still could not decide which ones to throw away.

In the end there was no water left in the bowl…

Here comes a whole bunch of lovely photos – therefore I created a slideshow for you:

Big joy!! Willy found his way back in the morning – now the whole family is together again. I am soooooo happy. I would have been terribly sad if our cheeky Willy would have been gone. But apparently that was an experience he needed. I wonder where he spent the night… :?

Funny thing – now the parents did not come back in the evening. For the first time the kiddos were both alone. But from now on they don’t sleep in the nest (Flower pot) any more but on the side board in the basket. What a change….

the whole family together….

Willy – as cheeky as always and as if nothing had happened….

Where the hell has he been that he needs to clean himself up like this????

Emma – having a nap in the basket – no wonder after all those excitements…

Pete – as usual – doesn’t know anything….

Emma – taking the chance to explore the appartment…

Pete – of course – cannot leave her alone….

Willy and Pete in deep dispute again – the one among REAL men…

But from time to time he remembers still being a baby and begs for food – as if he could not eat all by himself!!!! tztztz

but Pete has a big heart for his greedy kiddos…

Willy flew and got lost…

This is an exciting day and I nearly had an heart attack: Willy made a dive into the depth and… landed in the net of a neighbour (one of those who do not want the pigeons shitting on their precious balcony). But Willy could free himself flew back to our balcony – what a little rascal – and then disappeared again. It was late afternoon now and it got darker and darker that day and Willy did not come back. Was that all? I was really sad…

Joey was alone now and spent all night alone in the nest. Should those photos be the last ones of both kiddos and how they were still getting fed by Pete???

Pete having a discussion with his sons…

Joey begging for food….

Pete still having discussions…

yeah – that’s it – what a conspiration….

Pete is giving up and Joey gets what he wanted – again….
